On August 28, Delta Wilmar Ukraine LLC was visited by Galina Yanchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Policy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Dmitry Lutsenko, an expert on legal aspects of the temporary special commission of the Verkhovna Rada on the protection of investors’ rights. Our guests got acquainted with our modern production and the latest approaches to working conditions.
Our guests were given a tour of the site, including our new modernized shortening plant for the production of fats, margarine, and packaged oil and fat products. The plant is three times bigger than the previous one, thus allowing the installation of new production lines. This, in turn, provided for the opportunity to significantly increase the output volumes. Our guests learned that the production of the upgraded plant is done in an ecology friendly manner: ammonia is not used in the production cycle. The plant’s cooling units run on carbon dioxide, which fully complies with the EU environmental protection directives.
The guests noted that it is extremely important to create a favorable investment climate and stimulate domestic production. At the moment Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is working on a bill to attract investment from both abroad and Ukrainian businesses. Presently, the main goal is to increase the number of modern industrial enterprises in Ukraine of the level of “Delta Wilmar Ukraine”.
