On the 25th of January the delegation in the quantity of 9 persons including the representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, association “Ukroilprom”, Ukrainian Trade Chamber of Commerce, oil-and-fat enterprises of Ukraine went to the Russian Federation under the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. “Delta Wilmar CIS” was represented by the general director Anatoliy Barilchenko.
The meeting took place on the 26th of January in the Department of the Executive Committee of CIS.
The purpose of our participation in the event is an active participation in the activity of CIS in order to account national interest of Ukraine in the economical sphere, discussion of additions to the List of conditions, industrial and technological operations, on execution of which a commodity is considered such as originated from the country where these operations took place.
The previous meeting of the Working group took place on 29-30 October, 2009. “Delta Wilmar CIS” was represented by Alexey Livinskiy, technologist.

The event took place on the 15th of December, 2009 in the premises of Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies. The conference was devoted to the Project of the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding obligatory integration and certification of the system of food products safety management. The event was organized by the Chief management of external economic activity and European integration of Odessa regional counsel, Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, “SGS Ukraine”. The participants of the conference were representatives of power authority, certification authorities of SGS, scientists, directors of enterprises of food industry and agricultural sector, heads of banks, consulting specialists.
“Delta Wilmar CIS” was represented by Alexander Popazoglo, standardization and quality engineer. His report was devoted to the company’s experience in implementation, certification and improvement of Integrated management system according to international standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005. “Today quality and food safety of products is given a great importance. It’s proved both by the mentioned project regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and tight control of suppliers by the companies-producers by means of audit by “the 2nd party”, and simply by the fact that a competitive product should be quality and safe. Among our clients are many well-known companies with good reputation as far as quality is concerned. The obligatory condition for concluding long-term contracts with such companies is an audit of food safety management system, assertion in the list of accepted suppliers and mutually beneficial cooperation with minimization of expenses for “bad quality”. Thus, we have to consider the fact that even tomorrow it will become impossible to sell food products in the market without certified management system integrated at the enterprise,” – says the report.

Christmas is a wonderful holiday full of positive emotions, striking events and unforgettable adventures. Inspired by a festive atmosphere “Delta Wilmar CIS” became a sponsor of a Christmas party for kids organized by European Business Association, which will take place on 12, 19 and 20 December in Kinopalace Movie Theater.
The program of the celebration will give each participant a possibility to find something to their taste: Father Frost, Snow Maiden and other fairy-tale heroes will organize various contests, games and charades. Many children will be dressed in Christmas costumes, which will give the event an especially magic atmosphere. The program will also include the premier of Disney’s “Princess and the Frog” cartoon, which will be broadcasted in Ukrainian cinemas only from 7 January.
Participation of “Delta Wilmar CIS” in the event will become a valuable contribution into development of charity in Ukraine. Funds received from the event will be given to one of Ukrainian orphanages.

During economical crisis producers of confectionery products search for ways to cut down the cost of a finished product, even though without it reflecting the quality and taste of a product. The leading producers of ingredient for confectionery industry are trying to support this initiative at most.
Thus, “Delta Wilmar CIS” became an organizer of a seminar for representatives of food industry on topic “Production and usage of tropical oils based products”. The representatives of food industry from different regions of Ukraine and also from near abroad countries participated in the seminar. The event happened on the 29th of October as a part of XII International forum “WORLD FOOD UKRAINE”, which traditionally takes place in Kiev.
The seminar touched one of the most urgent topics: the sphere of use and application specificity of tropical oils and fats in production of food products, production technology of cocoa butter equivalents and replacers, and their usage by enterprises of confectionery industry. The reports were given by Zoya Fedyakina, head of department for research of processing technologies of oils and fats of Kharkov Scientific Research Institute, and Natalia Pischik, commercial technologist of “Delta Wilmar CIS”. Such events allow the producers of the ingredients to speak directly to their customers.
The seminar has totally legitimated the expectations of the organizer. The company plans to initiate such like events in future.

Oilseed producers, representatives of trading, inspection, logistics, broker and engineering companies, leading companies dealing with processing of oilseeds and producing of fat-and-oil products, representatives of financing, insurance and juridical structures, suppliers of technical equipment, experts of analytical and consulting agencies, representatives of branch associations and governmental structures are welcome to participate in the conference.

1st of September is the holiday of the First Bell. This is the most expected day for those who enter the school for the first time. This year a comprehensive school of the village of Novie Belyary accepted 6 first graders. The village school has nine grades, all classes have few children. The representatives of “Delta Wilmar CIS” came to the school parade to greet the pupils with the school year beginning. The company has been taking care of the school for a long time. After the parade all pupils went to their classes. Every pupil received a gift from the company.

On the 31st of August 2009 “SGS” conducted an audit in order to verify the company’s correspondence with the requirements of international standards of the quality management system ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005.
According to the auditors assessment “Delta Wilmar CIS” has established and maintained its management system in line with the requirements of the audit standard and demonstrated the ability of the system to systematically achieve agreed requirements, products and services within the scope and the company’s policy commitments.
On the 14th of August 2008 “SGS” issued “Delta Wilmar CIS” the certificate of international quality management system ISO 9001:200 and ISO 22000:2005.

On the 11th of June, 2009, representatives of “Kraft Foods” visited our factory for conducting an audit in order to include “Delta Wilmar CIS” in the list of “Kraft Foods” suppliers.
According to the results of the audit our factory received the status “Positive-Satisfactory” and obtained 85% out of 100, which is a very good result. The auditors pointed out few inadequacies, which will be corrected in the nearest time. “Delta Wilmar CIS” has already prepared the correction plan and send it to “Kraft Foods”.
During 20 days the auditors will prepare the Report according to the results of the audit.
Considering the supplier’s degree of risk and the rating of the audit, the next audit will be conducted in 5 years time.

On the 29th of May all schools observed Last Bell ringing. 60 pupils of the school of Novie Belyary celebrated the day of the school year end. This year the Last Bell in this school is a historical moment, there is no graduation class, and all school children will meet again on the 1st of September.
The representatives of “Delta Wilmar CIS” congratulated the schoolchildren with the school year end. All children received gifts from the enterprise. The company also organized a concert starring ensemble “Chernomor”.

“Delta Wilmar CIS” will be a sponsor of the Football Championship of Odessa region among amateur football teams season 2009, which will take place from the 23th of May till the 5th of September.
Seven football teams will take part in the Championship. The goal of the competition is further development and popularization of football in Odessa region, growth of sport skills of football players, creation of necessary conditions for preparation and successful play of football teams of Odessa region in the competitions organized under the aegis of football federation of Ukraine, involvement of young people into regular football exercises.

“Wilmar International Limited”, a parent company of “Delta Wilmar CIS”, and Asia’s leading agribusiness group, posted an 11% growth in net profit to USD 380 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. Improved margins from the merchandising and processing of palm and laurics as well as consumer products boosted the quarter’s performance. The group maintained its total sales volume at the same level as a year ago despite an overall slowdown in the global economy. However, revenue for the quarter was 31 % lower at USD 4.96 billion, reflecting the drop in prices of agricultural commodities.

On the 7th of May on the eve of the Victory Day “Delta Wilmar CIS” congratulated the veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in Novie Belyary. Together with the village council the company organized for them a festive program. Young artists were singing military songs. The veterans received gifts from the company.
This action is a part of Charitable Program developed by “Delta Wilmar CIS” for the village.
The veterans were very touched by the attention and frankly thanked for the greetings.

On 25-27 March “Delllta Wilmar CIS” has participated in the 9th International Exhibition “WorldFood Uzbekistan 2009”.
WorldFood Uzbekistan is the leading food exhibition in Uzbekistan. Traditionally it determines a path for food industry development in general and introduces innovations, provides opportunity to get familiar with local and international production, in particular.

On 17-20 March our company has participated in the Third International Specialized Exhibition “Ingredients-Kyiv-2009”, which took place within the frameworks of The International Forum of Food Industry and Retail “UFIR-2009”. “UFIR-2009” combines international specialized exhibitions interconnected among themselves popularity and thematic expositions which successfully and organically supplement each other, that allows to gather under one roof of manufacturers, distributors and consumers of all spectrum of production.
The main goals of the exhibition are: to acquaint with advanced achievements and newest investigations in the field of manufacture of food ingredients, to promote establishment and expansion of new business contacts, partnership relations, experience and information exchange between experts of branch, conclusion of mutually advantageous contracts.

Construction of a new railway line lasted four months. On the 5th of March the new object was officially opened. Maxim Babenko, director of “Delta Wilmar CIS” Ltd.: “Additional railway line gives us the possibility to increase cargo turnover, increase delivery, removal of r/w wagons. By this we will try, during current hard times, to increase the volume of dispatched products.”
New object was evaluated by the official committee consisted of representatives of “Delta Wilmar CIS” Ltd. and OJSC “Odessa Pre-port Plant”.
Opening of a new r/w line is only a part from “Delta Wilmar CIS” development program.

As per decision of ORCCI (Protocol #6 on 23/12/2008) “Delta Wilmar CIS” was accepted as a member of the Chamber.

Wilmar International Limited, Asia’s leading agribusiness group, announced on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, that its wholly-owned Business Unit, PPB Oil Palms Berhad, has been awarded the certification for sustainable palm oil production, in accordance with the rigorous standards of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Three of its mills have been awarded the RSPO certification, which collectively produce approximately 123,000 metric tones of sustainable crude palm oil annually from their supply base of four plantations of more than 19,400 hectares of Sabah, East Malaysia.
The RSPO certification is a voluntary system aimed at promoting sustainable palm oil development, taking into account economic, environmental and social aspects of palm oil production in a balanced way.
The award is a testament of Wilmar’s strong commitment towards sustainable palm oil production, based on sound management and active engagement with the different stakeholders in the palm oil supply chain. Wilmar hopes to achieve certification for all its mill operations within the next four years.

According to the expansion concept accepted in January 2008 “Delta Wilmar CIS Ltd.” has commenced the construction of the 2nd phase of the tropical oils transshipment and processing complex, which includes: construction of fractionation plant for total capacity of 800 mt/day, expansion of tank farm up to 100 thousand mt, packed products storage capacity enlargement to 15 thousand mt, construction of additional tropical oils refinery, construction of a loading rack. Commissioning is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2009. The above will give the company possibility to considerably increase processing volumes and extend products portfolio.

TABLE MARGARINE “82%” represents a food product with flavor-aroma additive and contains 82% of fats. It is produced by means of blending different oils and fats, and also ingredients, to provide the product with certain functional characteristics.
